I have never understood the need for euphemism.  If it is entirely necessary to discuss women solely as carriers of breasts, what need to refer to “large personality.”  Really, why bother?  As a method for delivering a message to a select group (generally men to other men), it only works to veil one’s message if the remainder (i.e. women) of the present company do not unerstand.  But everyone knows!

And euphemism for sex is just plain silly, though it does serve a purpose (if not one I’d find worthwhile).  Veiled overtures at least add a layer of polite deniability to a failed proposition.

*I find myself thinking of Empire Records as I write that title.
