fallen verses

1.  Got carded to buy a rated r movie today.  I was almost too shocked to pull out my ID.  This hasn’t happened since the time I bought a bottle of liquor (no response from cashier)  who then asked for my ID to buy a rated r movie.  This was four years ago.

2. Coworker had to transcribe a list of dates and asked if excel required them to be input in a certain way to get them to format as dates.  I said it depends, but I would probably just do an eight character string anyway (yyyymmdd).  She remarked how she prefers to do day, month, year, in the european tradition due to spending a lot of time doing research into genealogy.  I said I prefer to do it my way because it works better in sorting algorithms.  Then I laughed and realized I am such a geek, basing date format on sorting algorithms.

3. Feeling like I’m getting ill, and that it may be a norovirus.  Other possibility: it’s nothing and I’m becoming a hypochondriac.  Only time will tell.

4. My post about posting poems is not the reason my poems haven’t been posted.  I really just haven’t finished writing anything.
