Vague Spirituality

Best I’ll Ever Be
after Sister Hazel

An impartial observer
will note the clothes
scattered randomly
on the roof
of the school.

We know, of course,
we shouldn’t
be here.

Basking in afterglow,
we feel the eternal span
from our history below
to the dark infinity above.

    I like this line:
    we feel the eternal span

    It seems to suggest all the past and all the future to me.
