Binary
Zero or one:
since there are only two choices,
which do you pick?
Are we a single line-
a beginning, an end,
and all the points between?
Are we a circle:
two points orbiting
at a fixed distance
around emptiness?
I call us binary stars.
We burn ourselves
and strive to explode
to avoid collaps.
We are pulled together
by the fundamental forces
of the universe
and in response
fling ourselves apart
in an endless dance.
